Dane County Park Permits Make Great Holiday Gifts!

The following permits are available for purchase online. Daily permits are downloaded and printed after you have finished the payment process. Annual permits have a temporary permit, valid for three weeks after purchase, which you can print and use until the annual permit is mailed to your address.

Aeromodeling permits allow citizens to fly model airplanes in special areas on park property. It is currently available at Badger Prairie County Park. More information on the park, including pictures and directions can be found at the Badger Prairie Park webpage.
Disc golf is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. It is currently available at Vallarta-Ast Disc Golf Course, a section of the Token Creek County Park. The Tenney Lock provides passage between Lake Monona and Lake Mendota by raising or lowering boat traffic to accomodate the approximately 5 1/2 feet difference between the normal levels of the two lakes.

Trail Permits
There are three different Dane County Trail Permits: Mountain Bike, Horse and Cross-Country Skiing.
Regarding the Wisconsin Annual State Trail Pass: A state trail pass is required for all people age 16 or older biking, in-line skating, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, or off-highway motorcycling on certain state trails.
