First established in 1936, the Dane County Parks Division has grown to over 8,000 acres of parkland. The park system offers many opportunities for year-round outdoor recreation, including camping, disc golf, bike trails, equestrian trails, dog parks, hiking, boating, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

DOGS CAMP FREE!  Dane County Parks has long been on the forefront in creating enjoyable experiences for park patrons and their dogs.   All camper reservations/registrations include a daily dog permit good for the duration of the stay.

FIREWOOD ALERT: Dane County Parks no longer allows firewood that originates outside of Dane County to be brought into the Parks.  Firewood may be purchased at the parks for $5/bundle.
