Replacement permits are available at a lower fee for lost annual permits. Lost State Trail permits must be replaced at full value.
The following permits are available for purchase online. Daily permits are downloaded and printed after you have finished the payment process. Annual permits have a temporary permit, valid for three weeks after purchase, which you can print and use until the annual permit is mailed to your address.

Aeromodeling permits allow citizens to fly model airplanes in special areas on park property. It is currently available at Badger Prairie County Park. More information on the park, including pictures and directions can be found at the Badger Prairie Park webpage.
Disc Golf is currently available at Token Creek County Park, the Vallarta-Ast Disc Golf Course, and at Lake Farm County Park, the Capital Springs Disc Golf Course. Disc Golf course maps can be found here.
Please note that the general opening and closing dates of the Disc Golf courses is May 1st through October 31st, weather permitting.

Permit covers 23 dog exercise areas throughout Dane County. Valid at all Dane County Parks, City of Madison Parks, City of Sun Prairie Parks and City of Middleton Parks. Lake Access permits are required for use of 13 access sites at Madison area lakes (Mendota, Monona, Waubesa and Kegonsa).

The Tenney Lock provides passage between Lake Monona and Lake Mendota by raising or lowering boat traffic to accommodate the approximately 5 1/2 feet difference between the normal levels of the two lakes.

Trail Permits - There are three different Dane County Trail Permits: Mountain Bike, Horse and Cross-Country Skiing.
WI Annual State Trail Pass: A state trail pass is required for people age 16 or older who are biking, skating, cross-country skiing on the Capital City State Trail. A pass is not required for walking or hiking. For more information, please visit the WI DNR State Trail Pass website.
